Colonel Brent P. Markowski is the Deputy Commander of the 353rd Special Operations Group, Kadena Air Base, Japan. The 353rd Special Operations Group supports special operations forces throughout the Pacific theater by providing combat-ready special tactics forces, as well as MC-130H Combat Talon II and MC-130P Combat Shadow aircraft.

Colonel Markowski was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps. During his 23 years of service he has been a squadron commander, operations officer, flight commander, instructor pilot, and flight examiner pilot. He served on the staff of the Office of the Secretary of Defense as a regional affairs specialist and on the Directorate of Plans and Programs, Headquarters Air Combat Command as Chief of Combat Search and Rescue Programming.
Colonel Markowski is a command pilot with more than 4,500 hours in the T-38, T-37, C-130E, HC-130P, and MC-130P aircraft.
